A website update I never expected

AUTHOR’S NOTE: when this website went live this past summer, I thought it was a pipe dream to have the Cubs win the World Series.

After all, I was born and raised in Illinois. Being a history buff, I knew all too well that the Cubs hadn’t won the championship since Teddy Roosevelt was President, Babe Ruth was just a kid, and the Titanic hadn’t even started construction. I grew up hearing the words “well, just wait till next year”… year after year after year.

And so, when I mentioned the Cubs on the website, I made a smart comment about their World Series drought. Fast forward to today, and I’m suddenly having to eat my words, for the best of possible reasons.

For the record, that smart comment is now gone. Congrats to the Cubs! And for all of you partying in Wrigleyville (and in other parts of Chicago, and across the country), stay safe!

New social media pages

Peter J. SpaldingThe new PeterJSpalding.com doesn’t exist in a vacuum. It comes with completely-overhauled social media pages. 1871 and the Versailles Theatre books each have their own Facebook pages, along with new Pinterest boards and an overhauled Twitter account. And these are just the beginning, since Instagram and other social media are on the way. Stay tuned….

The new website is live at PeterJSpalding.com

Peter J. SpaldingAUTHOR’S NOTE:

It’s official: my new website is up and running. It’s been completely redesigned, and it has a new address at peterjspalding.com.

The new site covers all three of my books so far: 1871, Picture Palace, and Break a Leg. The site is also packed with new special features from character sketches to maps and other historical background to links and other resources.

Feel free to peruse at your leisure….
